What does option E mean in Part 3?
E means the information is not given in any of the paragraphs. It is a real answer, not a trick, and a Part 3 set normally includes it.

Why can I not just search for matching words?
The statements reword the passage on purpose. A paragraph can share words with a statement and still not contain its meaning, which is exactly the trap.
